I have a 2009 male red phase eastern indigo snake for sale. He was the first indigo I ever purchased. I got him as a hatchling from Steve Fuller. He has no scale issues or kinks, and has a beautiful red throat. [It looks like he has a tail kink in the lawn photo, but he has just finished using the bathroom!!
]
He is an impressive animal. He is 8 feet long and an excellent feeder on anything you offer him. He has a great feeding response, but it is quite docile and very used to handling. I am a high school biology teacher, and I have used him in my classroom on numerous occasions for lessons on human impact on biodiversity. I have also brought him into my 10 year old son's classroom to talk about reptiles.
Two of the photos included are of him outside in our yard. From late spring to early fall, he spends a good half hour to an hour outside enjoying the sun. He loves to patrol, but never tries to escape or threatens to bite when time to go inside.
He is an healthy, awesome animal, but I am too male heavy within my collection. He will be a great ambassador/pet for someone who has always wanted an eastern indigo snake.
I am offering him for $2100 shipped or best reasonable offer. A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to secure him. I accept personal checks and money orders.
If you live in CT, I will adjust the price for shipping and we can work out a place to meet.
Unless you live in CT, an Interstate Commerce Permit will be required to ship the snake. I have included the link below to obtain the permit. I will gladly help anyone with the permit. It does not take long to complete, but will take about 2 months to process by USF&W. That works out perfectly. He will be ready to ship in the spring when temps are warmer.
