Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

2006? Yeah she's small for her age. She looks healthy though, so no worries. There's nothing wrong with growing them slowly, but I like them to keep a little quicker pace than what shes keeping.
She's nice looking, Steve.

I think this is what happens when they maintenance feed a boa.
She seemed awfully small when she arrived.

Most likely maintenance feeding. Even animals raised on feed - poo - feed - poo diet would be bigger. That is the problem with some breeders. I got one from a big name a few years back that was two years old and smaller than my yearlings. Took 4 years of my feeding schedule to get him where I wanted him.

I think she's perfectly healthy looking. Not much smaller then my '06 Albino either.
Slow growing = health and longevity.

My 07/2006 is bigger, but she was a holdback (not powerfed either, she's head/body proportionate and all feisty muscle).
At least yours is still healthy looking & handleable, I got in some really scrawny angry ones. Probably should have returned them, but a least with me they'll be fed. Definitely fleshed out my do not buy from list.
Regardless, she's beautiful! And I'm sure she'll be happy to grow for you now that she'll be getting the fuel for it.

Since I was the breeder, I will respond.
I wouldn't say I maintance fed her but I do grow my boas slow (I don't feed them something that's going to leave an obvious bulge during digestion and I space out feedings every 2-4 weeks, I vary the schedule). You have to understand the parents genes play a role as well, the father of that boa was 3.5' and 4 years old (from another breeder) and her mom was 8 years old and just around 6' fully grown. All the babies from that litter are smaller than other boas I've brought up that are the same age. She's a perfectly healthy boa, never had a regurge, never had mites or any other problems. I personally think a lot of people push their boas way too fast and overfeed them way too much, which is what we see the most so other people think it is the 'norm'.

Oh and if you need pics, I can post pics of her father next to another boa to show how small he is and the mother as well as the 4 siblings I kept from that litter.

Thanks everyone.
I was just a bit concerned over the size since I always see people post these montrous animals. Heck, I have BP's larger than this girl so it took me by surprise.
Small, large, whatever.....as long as she is happy and healthy is all that matters to me.
