This lizard has looked like the first picture for almost 2 years.
Now today.................

It almost seems as if she had lost part of the epidermis, the head and tail remains the same color. You din't see now skin around in the terrarium?

Or perhaps she's now in great shape and showing her "looking for a man" colours.

Just started shedding and wasn't done when I interupted for the photo shoot.

That's may be. Now that this lizard is mature, maybe it's coloring up to attract a mate.

No idea now. I had thought it was a Cordylus mclachlani. Now, I'm not sure.

When I kept cordylus in highschool, I noticed a drastic color change in all of them in the first shed when they got home. When I inquired about it with a local herper, he said that a lot of them are very drab colored when they are imported, from being out in the dirt and sun, and that the first shed "cleanses" them of the "wc look". That one looks kinda like the cordylus tropidosternum, but it has been a LONG time since I kept anything like that, and like I said, it was always with the first shed. It never took 2 years for a change like that.
