Hey all,

First, I definetly didn't think anyone is/was trying to rain on my parade. I asked a question and received honest opinions, which was all I was looking for.

Second, what is the moustache, and where exactly is the area between the vent and the tail? Does that mean between the anus and the very tip of the tail?

Thanks again.

Damian, Boas have a dark line under their nose which looks like a moustache, hence the term. You answered your other question. Anus, vent, cloaca - same thing. You've got a great looking hypo. Regards, Art

Here are some pictures of his moustache and tail. Is his moustache reduced?

Thanks again

I would say, based solely upon the assumption that those markers are 100% accurate (which they are by no means anywhere close to that percentage), that your boa has a good chance of being a super. He definately has reduced black around the patterns of his lower tail. His moustache appears to be normal though.

At this point, there is nothing left to do but to enjoy the little critter. Only time will tell and as you are well aware, Ed will stand by his guarantee should he not prove out. Good luck!

Just for conversations sake, there is one way to get guaranteed supers. When both parents are proven super salmons, all offspring will be super. I am unsure if this has been done yet(atleast with two previously proven supers), but when that breeding occurs, all offspring will be dominant.
