Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I wouldn't put the lice removal on the snake! Its for the cage. Reptile relief can be put on the snake.
If using the spray ones.

Folks wonder why information doesn't come when requested?
Its shunned at every turn when its presented as quoted/proven advise from folks well advanced from internet spoon feeding.
In the last 5 yrs we as a hobby have lost 5 very long term pioneers(if you will) of the hobby.
They like those like minded that(for whatever reason) attempt to "PASS ON"
are now met at every turn with a trendy option as a solution to everything.
Wonder why herp forums now move at the rates and redundancies they do?
Socialism knows no boundaries

Just for the record, they all work if you use them correctly. RID, Equate and PAM all contain the same ingredient. This is NOT a reptile safe product the way it is being described here. Precautions must be taken to prevent poisoning. But it is effective.
Reptile relief is good for the snake itself. It dries up the rostrum, preventing the mite from being able to feed, and it dies. But it also will dehydrate the snake, so you must clean off afterward, and should soak the animal to help against the dryness of the skin.
Olive oil is another alternative for the snake itself. You simply apply liberally, let stand for a while, and it will suffocate the mites. No chemicals needed for the animal itself. Soaking in plain old water will suffocate, or drown the mites as well.
I've used all those methods with success.

Dont forget their will be eggs most likely.Thats were the Equate or the Pam comes in.
It leaves a residual to kill new mites that hatch before they get to breed.I'm not sure if Pam kills the eggs or not,i know the equate does.
If your not using either, keep a close eye out for any new mites and kill them.
Good luck man.
See a vet about the impaction!

BTW, are you sure the "impaction" isn't just retained shed? This is a common place for shed retention, and if it happens more then once, it builds up. Pictures aren't clear enough to tell very well.

I would like to know what the Vaseline will do to the boa if is slithers up the glass and it build up in its nostrils?
I personally would not put vaseline in my boa cages. But thats just me.I never had mites in my house in 3 years since getting into boa's.Just lucky at thsi point.
It seems the breeder you buy from has a bit to do with that.
This is why i do not use bedding and only paper. But also,my boa's are not in my living room so i'm not looking to make the cages pretty.
