Salamander skin fungus?

Hi everyone. Im new 2 the site and forums. But I have a beautiful gigantic blue eyed melanistic salamander. Have him in a 40 gal river tank setup. Was doing great for 8 months. But now he has some dark red patches on his skin? Seems 2 b a fungus or bacteria of some type? Now he won't eat anything is very sluggish and wants 2 climb out of the water am the time? Someone please help!! Thx.

I am not too familiar with amphibian skin ailments, but a picture might help others more knowledgeable than myself.

This could be what you're looking at. I'd suggest a full tank cleaning and if at all possible, clean the amphibian itself. Having never owned one I can't say for sure, but it certainly appears to be eating the skin between it's toes.
