Feeding question

I just switched my ball and boa from adult mice to rat pups. The problem is the rat pups are too small to be considered a weeks worth of food for my growing juveniles. What is the best route, feed them one rat pup each and a rat pinky each once every 7 days or decrease the the feeding schedule to every 5 days with just one rat pup? Both of my snakes are roughly the same girth and considerably bigger around than a rat pup and around 2 feet in length. I dont want to overfeed my snakes or underfeed them for that matter, but I dont want to switch back to mice as long as they are accepting rats. Eventually I'll be able to feed them one prey item a week but they are still way to small eat the next size rat. Help.

In general I feed my snakes prey items no bigger than the widest part of the snake. It's hard to tell without pictures, but I believe yours at 2 feet long, unless they are underweight, would be big enough for weanling/small rats. I believe the correct size will leave a small full belly/bump. Not a "oh my god he's gonna blow" look.

Agreed; a Weaner or Small rat would be a better meal for the size described.
