Thumbs down BRHERPER on reptile auctions, Badguy.

Hello,
I bought this male ball python from BRHERPER on reptileauctions the other day, I got it really cheap, first he said shipping would be around 45, then when I won the snake for 1 dollar, he said the snake shipped was 60 dollars. That started this mess. The snake arrived this morning, with a very bad respiratory infection, the snake can hardly breath, mouth open and all. Luckily for the snake, I have the proper antibiotic, to treat him. I just figured Id let you guys and girls know, I saw he just sold a few more snakes on there, and there is probably more to come. Here is the link to the auction page.

I dont know how to do the screen shots, to include them on this post, They probably arent necessary though, If someone feels they are, please explain to me how to do them, or just throw them up there for me. Thanks alot.

If he tried to overcharge you [DID you pay it?] that would have been the first red flag.

yeah I paid it, because after I did shipping quotes myself they were pretty high, So I said fine, it was only a little more anyway. That wasnt to big of a deal. The problem now is I have a sick snake, which I have to treat. I get enough of them in my rescue, I dont need to buy one for myself, and have it sick too.

Here is a screenshot. Have you notified the seller that this thread exists? How did you pay for the auction, PayPal? If the seller won't do anything to rectify the situation, you've got to leave negative feedback on the auction site.

Be sure to report it to the Admin at the site you got it from. I know they're trying to clean things up over there and will want to know about this guy.

Actually, the shipping fee may be enough to dispute with PayPal (perhaps for getting back the $20some difference).

Wow. I placed a bid on his het albino at the same time your auction was going. I was outbid in the final minutes, so I guess I lucked out by not winning him, huh? I did notice last night that he was up for sale again fairly quickly, so I'm wondering what was up with that. I'm thinking my $50 wasn't enough, so he used another name to "win" the snake, and then reposted. It's odd for a sale to go down that fast. Sorry to hear about your bad transaction, though.

Yeah I am going to contact the site about it, Hopefully they will do something, Bad feedback for him is on its way, hopefully no one else gets stuck with something like that. I am going to notify paypal, but I am not sure if they will do anything, but I guess its worth a try. The seller hasnt reponded to me since I received the snake, he emailed me last night and said he might be out of town for the weekend. so Im assuming he aint around, or he just knew what was up, and doesnt want to deal with this. Thanks for the screen shot, I dont know how to do that yet.

Most reptile auctions seem to be the $.99 stores

of the reptile industry, which is why I do not even log onto any, much less bid on anything on an auction site. I think there have been so many problems using them, that if you actually bid $1 for a Ball, you should expect problems. I am not saying getting a good deal is a bad thing, but how good is it to win an auction, pay for shipping, and get an animal that probably could not sell on a classifieds site. Just not worth it. You probaby should have seen a problem before sending your money.

On your keyboard is a button that says "Print Scrn/Sys Rq." It should be on the top row of keys to the right of your F# keys.

Press this button when you want to capture what's on the screen. Open Paintbrush, or anything in which you can paste an image to, and paste it (ctrl+v). I like using Paintbrush because you can easily resize the image so it doesn't flood the screen when you post it.

Hope this helps.
