here we go.
The Natrix Maura or Viperine snake is native to southern Europe. They dont grow big. My biggest girl is 85 centimeters and 9 years old! They eat fish, but will occasionally accept other things like frogs and worms. There colours can be grey, black, orange, olive-green, or striped. They behave very naturally in captivity. If you feed them live fish they will really hunt it. You can really see them look around under water and flicking their tongues.
hmmm, what more to tell you...
they like their temperatures not to high. Around 25 to 30 degrees celsius. I spray them with water once a week. They have a lot of hiding places because they are a bit shy. They also have a moist box with moss.
I keep 4 of them in a 100x50x50 tank, with woodchips on the floor. 2 males and 2 females.
there isn't much information about these animals available, so i hope you learned something from me...
Let me know if you have any questions.
