Scientific Specimens

Hello,

I realize that this might be odd for many of you, but:

Dead reptiles sought for research collection.

I am looking for samples of a variety of reptile species for an osteological research collection. If you have a dead reptile that you would like to donate, please contact me.

Cool to see another skull collector. Do you use dermestids to clean your specimens?

I use bacterial baths to clean the bones and then painstakingly reassemble the skeletons. All animal remain are welcome. I do not have much spare cash but I would be willing to trade or make some sort of deal for remains.

I have an educational outreach service focused on cold blooded wildlife. Skins, skulls, shells, teeth, etc are a great help without being dangerous for the public. If you find yourself with extras or no longer need some id would work out a barter of some kind.. But i am also interested in the knowledge of the bacterial baths mentioned.

Do you do work for other people, as in would you clean and assemble a skeleton for cash/trade?

I am a student at this point but I would be more than happy to clean/mount animals for others. The older the animal was, the better. I can do small work as you can see from the chameleon skulls, but it is very painstaking. Send me pictures or a detailed description of what you have and what you want of it and we can work out a deal.

I gotta couple of gecko's in the freezer if you want them.
Of coarse, I'd love an extra lizard skull, but not required.

How would want them shipped?

All the best,

Michael

Sounds great.

I am more than happy to do a trade or mount something for you. Just send me the info and I will let you know.
