Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

a ball python with no black, only tan and brown...
I recently came across a snake that someone would sell to me for very cheap. This ball python is a pet belonging to a neighbor of mine. I tried to post the image, but it is too large. This snake has not a speck of black on him. He is only a sort of medium brown and light tan. He is very strange looking and I was wondering if this is normal. I will post the photo as soon as I can figure out how to make the file smaller. I can't take another photo of him because he is not in my possesion. I've been dealing with reptiles for about eight years and have never seen anything like him.

I figured it out...
I had to put the photo on paint to make it smaller, I am sure there is any easier way, but this finally worked. That (above) is the snake I am asking about. That is exactly what he really looks like. Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks.

Like most other species, Regius can vary greatly from one speciman to the next. From the pic, it would appear that yours is normal colored. The best way to see if these traights are inheritable would be to breed one of its offsping back to it.
Nonetheless, it is a very attractive snake.

not too dumb...
Just to let everyone know ahead of time that I am not implying that this snake is super special. I was actually looking at (her) to purchase to breed some of my het males to this upcomming year. I am really only asking because when I saw her I felt stupid. I have bred boas for years and have not had much exposure to ball pythons until recently and was not aware that ball pythons were available without black. I think it is a very pretty snake, and at her weight $75 dollars is a bargain. Thanks Becky...

I'm having a hard time keeping up with the morph explosion in Ball Pythons, but I would not call that a normal. Maybe I haven't seen enough of the "range" of normal Ball Pythons, because in other species not having any black as that does appear, would be hypo something. At any rate it is a gorgeous snake, and $75 is a steal.
Hopefully some Ball Python can give us a little more insight, I'd like to know either way.

let's have an auction. If the snake is in good health, and has no black as you say, then I would bid:
$150
