They're out in Nc!

Well, they're out! Today I thought it was pretty good to come across an aligator snapper while on my motorcycle. Not to take anything away from that, but just a few hours later, a friend called me up and said to come take a look at his place. To my surprise, there was a 4 to 41/2 ft Timber Rattler sunning in his driveway! Looks like we will have a great herping season this year!!! Good luck to everyone.

Yeah..... If I remember correctly, THIS is the time of year to be looking for eastern kings along the coast in North Carolina. Been a LONG time since I have done that.......

i'm a bit north in virginia beach and i cant wait to get out an do some hunting around . i did see some 5 line skinks hanging out on the corner of my sisters townhouse last week . as soon as we get a bit warmer here i'm gonna head out to northwest river park to see if i can find some kings . its one of my favorite places to hunt . i've seen alot of critters out there in the past .

Glad to see some places are having some activity. Here in CA, we've had a very not normal winter, still getting a bunch of rain and it's still friggin cold. Not that the rain is a bad thing, but looks like I'm going to have to push my season back about a month. Hopefully I'll get a decent field trip in April.
