Photos of wild snakes from my yard

I live in southern NJ and any day now I expect to start seeing snakes coming out of hiding and warming themselves in the sun. These shots were all taken in my backyard. The black rat snake is a real old-timer. He's a bout six feet or so, and I can always recognize him due to scar on his tail from an old injury.
The garters are all over the place, and much more aggressive than the big old black rat ever is. (except when he's got that shed over his eyes, then you have to watch out!)

and a box turtle (this one has the neatest coloration, very pale) and an american green frog.

These shots were all taken with an Olympus C-2100 and a B-macro lens. It's only 2 mp, but one of the best designed digital cameras ever made!

Thanks for the kind words guys! It's great to find people that can appreciate a close up of a reptile or a bug. I've always loved the beauty of such creatures, but not everyone finds them as interesting as I do, so I get some funny responses to the images from non-herp loving viewers. I guess this is the right place to be
