beautiful little kiddos! Tail stipes are common in the harlequin trait (also seen in hypo/salmon lines). (another trait is they tend to really fire up pink 48 hrs after a meal just fyi) I wouldn't go so far as to say the dad proved super for harli as Harlequin is not proven as a co-dom or dominant trait. Anyways... great looking babies! I hope you will share some post-shed pics. Congrats!!!

Thats an awesome litter. Just a quick note - some of them babies have quite a bit of yolk still inside, research the word "solidified yolk syndrome" and do what you can to avoid that. I have had babies with big bellies like that and just kept them on a good warm belly heat and the problem went away.

I used to print out discussions and webpages that I found interesting. While going through some old paperwork this weekend, I came across some harlequin info I had printed out back in 2003. Figured I would share and so I just picked one of the "harlequin?" threads to add this to -

1st PDF is the printout from Tim (Rainshadow)'s old website that details the original breedings that produced harlequins.

The 2nd pdf is an old discusson from the kingsnake boa forums talking about the genetic inheritability of the trait. Please note, at that time we were all speculating that it might be a new strain of jungle gene. Discussion is Tim and his brother Brendan and some interesting responses from Bill Kirby and Rick Staub in there.

edit - well shoot, file types are too large to attach. I loaded into my photobucket. Here is the 1st PDf and links below for the 2nd PDF which was 10 pages; only have access to B&W scanner right now.
