A few Sulcata questions
Ok, in the local newspaper there is a guy who needs to rehome his (death in the family) 90lbs Sulcata male. I'm interested but haven't done tortories before, so need some info. I'm in New Mexico, so I'm good weather wise for the guy to be outside most of the year. I have a double-lot, fenced, with grass for him to munch. I work from home, and have other pets so I'm not a complete "impulse buy" idiot. I just need to know the requirements this guy will need for the winter. I'm in North NM, so we do get snow- and it gets cold, but our spring-fall is very nice. I keep my beardies outside part of the year as well. Do I need to bring him into the garage and rig something up for the winter? Or the laundry (snake) room? I've heard they don't hibernate, but do they slow down at all? Any favorite websites you can guide me to? Thanks in advance!
