Does that one on the bottom in the last pic have a red tongue?

It looks like it. When we were taking pics, we noticed one of the hypo holdbacks had a black & red tongue.

I noticed a few like that in my first litter this year from a salmon 66% het blood x salmon 66% het blood. There were no Blood Boas or Bloody Salmons in that litter, so I am wondering it is just the Salmon to Salmon thing(in your case, the hypo to hypo) that is causing that or is it something else. hmmm...

Haven't really noticed it until Lolo pointed it out. From what she told me, the breeder of our hets pretty much produced red tongue devils. I think it has something to do with the hypo gene.

"Lolo was happy she kissed the hypo blood still covered in goo." that is awesome, bet it didn't taste too good, the goo smells aweful! ha! Laura kissed the goo!

You should call the freak blood boa "Type 0 Negative" (rare blood type, also an interesting gothic rock band)
