Goat Owners-Dehorning Scurs

What method do you use to remove scurs on your goats? Or do you not unless they are penetrating into the head?

Depends. If you want them to have them, then just watch them, if they begin to curl cut them. Otherwise they can grow into the skull. Use a wire saw or Gigli saw.

Or if you have time and they arnt too long, you can band them. They will fall off in a few weeks of months depending on there size.

I twisted them off with my hand. A little blood not much. They were about a inch and a half. I read you could use pliers if they were pretty wobble. When I went to check them out, I wiggled them and they were really loss so I just yanked them quick.

Glad you got it worked out. I forgot that if they are loose just do what you did.
