Hairless & Fancy Mice Breeders?

Does anyone know of a reputable breeder for fancy mice? I'm specifically interested in a hairless (nude) mouse and/or a hairless mouse with a bit of fuzz still (rex I think it's called?) I used to have a hairless rat year ago but he passed away and I really miss having him around and a mouse is just as cute but a bit smaller and easier for me. Any help is appreciated.

I breed fancy mice and rats and I would be happy to help you out.

1) True hairless mice (aka rhino) are lacking a thymus and thus have a myriad of immuno deficiency concerns that cause them to have (and spread) all sorts of fun diseases. I am working with a lab-strain of hairless mouse now to see what I can do with them, but I am pretty far off from any real results.

2) A "fuzzy" hairless is sometimes confused with a true hairless mouse because it's fur is so short and so fine that it's barely there. The best ones have a sort of peach fuzz about them and are essentially naked, but have no health concerns or issues.
His fuzzy hair is barely there!

Here are some babies!

3) Rex/Double Rex causes curly/wavy fur. A single dose causes a "perm" and a double dose causes a "burnt out" look with bald patches (sometimes). Double rex is more like patterned baldness, and isn't really considered a desirable trait.

Thanks for the reply Rachel. It was actually partially because of your photos of this lil guy on your Facebook that I wanted to get another hairless rodent. I actually went and got a hairless rat yesterday that I had ordered from a local place. I love this little girl. Here she is:

Hairless mice are now available from several breeders on the east coast. Please try www.Mouselovers.com to contact them.

I got her from a guy at my job. There's a bunch on pet finder now in need of rescue. I'm in the process of trying to rescue one
