Red-tail het for pastel

Roxy is a female red-tail boa that is about 2 years old. She is around 3 feet. She is het for pastel, and she eats a medium rat every other week. She needs a good home. $200.

She was a rescue snake. Her tail was bitten off by a rat that was left in her cage from her previous owner. However her tail is healed and she is still able to breed.

no disrespect meant but it is my understanding that pastel is not a recessive trait and therefore she cannot be het for pastel...

its unfortunate about her tail looked like a wild pattern but considering the damage and not being het for pastel id say the price should be adjusted sorry

agreed - not only that, but "pastel" in the boa world is still a very "touchy" subject. There are very few recognized lines of pastel, such as the inferno line, the Ronne line, the summit line, and such. There are a few people that will still refer to their snakes as pastels without them being a line mentioned, but no boa can be a het for pastel. Also, without knowing for certain that this is an injury, it could also have been a birth defect, and if so, would be a snake that wouldn't be "breeding quality"... just my $0.02...

Other than that, the snake has a gorgeous tail, and is otherwise a beautiful specimen of the wildtype bci

Not being disrespectful either but, should she even breed at all? I mean since she was a rescue? You don't know what could be wrong with her other then her tail being bit off by a rat.
