Question My first gecko in a long time

This is the picture that they showed me when I ordered him

And this is a photo that I took just now

His name is Normie

So what do you guys think of him? And what would you classify him as? I know he has some carrot tail, but I.. too many morphs that look the same to me for me to understand.

Also I am just getting into breeding. I have all the equipment I need and i am getting 3 females that look just like him to breed with.

If you guys have any suggestions or if theres anything you just think I should know just let me know, I am kinda a noob at the breeding.

Oh yeah and where would be the best place to get a small quality rack system for a good price? I have been haveing problems with this. I just need one that will hold a few sets of breeders. I hope to expand my operation but I cant until I have a rack system :/

to be a carrot tail, there needs to be at leat 20% carroting at the base with no spots breaking it it

Thank you. So do you think that hyp tangerines would be a good starting point? I am mostly doing this as a hobby, but I do plan on selling the babies and then moving up to higher class geckos. Or maybe would there be something you would reccommend breeding with normie here.. like maybe breed a patternless to him or something?

Nice guy there, tangerines are one of my favorites! You could breed him to a couple of tang and a patty if you want to. With the patty you will get some patty babies and the others will be het for patty.

Sounds like you have a plan... that is good. I think you picked a good starter breeder, he looks nice and fat and appears to look better than the orginal pic!
I have to disagree with Dan on the carrot tail statement. There is plenty of carrot tail on that guy, if Dan was a leo breeder only 8 years ago he would be salivating all over himself for that much carrot on a leo.

Animal Plastics has really good racks.

First off let me just say that is a very cool gecko you have there. IMO I think you should check out JMG they have a project with animals that look real similar to yours. The Yellow goes really far into the tail like yours. Could be something to check into.

Actually, if you breed him to a Patty you will get all het for Patternless babies, no Patty babies.
