Mods, I'm curious

It has been mentioned by His Majesty that I have intimidated you mods to the point that you do not ding me when you feel you should.

In point of fact, I think the only mods I've even had harsh words with were mr. clark and mr. frank. At least since my last big time out. I'm not counting dand since he's no longer a member here.

Jay and I seem to have worked through our "stuff" and I never had any stuff with Dennis or Ken and The King, well, he hits me when he feels it necessary and, as with all the other mods, if I disagree I say so and if I agree I generally say nothing.

Do you mods feel that I have intimidated you? Would you hold off dinging me for some reason?

I feel, and it may well be in error, that if you guys felt I deserved dinging, you'd ding away. Is this feeling wrong?

I'd really like to know.

Seeing as I "dinged" you three days ago I'd say I'm in the "not intimidated" category.

I suspect though, Wes, that those who might be intimidated, should they indeed exist, would not publicly come forward and admit it. So the results of this "poll" are not likely to be meaningful in any way.

Hmmmm, lost my responce the first time, let's try it again.

I had not considered that if I did intimidate someone that they would not be forthcoming about it. Though I can see, now, where they might be. Dang it even.

You see, intimidation was not ever my goal. To be outspoken when I've felt maligned, such as happened recently with mr. frank modding and being a member both in the same thread and dinging me when he had no other way to get back at me, yes, I've done that.

But intimidating to the extent that a mod, be it a bought position or appointed, has never been a goal.

Well, I'm glad mr. frank never got scared by my "school-ground bully" tactics. Fear was also not one of the goals of my merely speaking up for myself when I felt someone had abused the power of moderation, as I have felt several times with mr. frank.

If the rest of you mods could answer, and you could pm me if you like as I am trying to get a clearer view of how I am seen here on this site, I'd appreciate it. Should you choose to answer me in private I assure you it will stay between us, even if we should disagree over something in the future.

Actually Wes~ I might be the one Rich is referring to~ but it's not that I am too intimidated to ding you with warning points.....

But just the same your the reason I don't use my "Mod Powers" (or at least the easiest one for me to point too)
I like you~ I'd find it difficult to issue you warning points. And really......you OFTEN RICHLY DESERVE the points you get. Equally~ I would find it entirely TOO EASY to issue points to someone I don't like (or when I'm in a bad mood, or when the sun, the moon and the stars don't align to suit me, or when you and Rich just go at each other like little boys........it goes on and on)

So~ I choose to support the sight by donating~ and I choose to support the site by NOT using powers I don't think I have the willpower (is that the right word?) to use appropriately.

That said~ I do very much admire those who use the power appropriately and take up the responsibility I do not. Thanks all.

I don't have any guns at the moment but if I did, I would try to be fair and shoot them accordingly.

Absolutely.

I often know I'll get points for what I've said and if that's the case I have nothing to say about it.

I'm not trying to play both ends against the middle here, just get a better impression of what you mods think.

I have to say I've never dinged you Wes, at least I'm fairly certain I haven't. I am not intimidated by you, and in fact I would feel pity for those who are so timid to be intimidated by a page of text on the internet.
The reason I have not dinged you though is because I get so much enjoyment from reading your posts and from your exemplary abilities as a wordsmith, that even when deserved, I would feel a bit hypocritical if I did.
I missed your banter during your period of exile and even though I realize that's it's probably just a matter of time before it is imposed again, I do not particularly want to hasten the process either lol.

That being said, I rarely use my ability to issue points anyway. I don't know how many times I've given a warning but I would be surprised if the total is much into the double digits.
