monitor/tegu food for skinks

I read that this can be given to them as a source of protein (instead of high quality canned cat food). aside from mealworms, is a good idea?

I never advocated any canned food for any monitor or tegu. Just saying. I don't know what skinks need, but the canned foods are nasty stuff.

yeah, I wasn't to fond of the cat food thing, either. I have seen canned tegu/monitor food, but I've also seen bite size ones in jars.

We do feed our BTS the canned mon/tegu food but only sparingly.

I would definitely prefer it over any dog or catfood.
