Gorgeous! I absolutely love the look of easterns. Thank you for sharing

I'd love an Eastern hog some day but I don't think I've ever seen them for sale in Canada.

I will ad a picture or two here. This was one of my best females. Bay county Florida locality. I used to have a very small area where they all looked like this. Now a sub division and nothing left. I wish I wouldn't have sold my Eastern collection.

Always get my Easterns to take rodents. Don't believe the hype that they are hard to switch over. The biggest trick is getting them free of parasites. They are polymorphic in my area so you never know how they are going to turn until they are about 18 months old. I have some eggs incubating now from my melanistic pair. I have seen the reddest babies turn black and some of the most bland babies turn into screamers. We used to have a large collection but sold them when we moved. Just getting back into them now.

Did you scent the pinks with a toad or something similar?

I have to with some of the babies. About half will take pinks as their first meal. The wild caught ones from my area switch over pretty easy. I don't think I have ever had one that would not switch over. We will be in production in the next couple of years. We are building our collection up now.
