"pm box 100% full" ???

hello,

i logged on today to read, "your pm box is 100% full"

i hadn't gotten any new messages lately, but i deleted all of my pm's anyway. it is still stating 100% full.

any idea what is going on with my inbox?

Don't think I've ever run into that issue before. Clearing your browser's cache and cookies might be a good place to start.

Hmm... I initially saw the message when I logged on using my pc. I cleaned my cache, logged on using a different device (iPhone), and still getting the same message.

Thoughts?

Aside from the remote possibility that you accidentally moved them to a different folder instead of deleting them, I'm out of ideas. Sorry.

got it!

the pm limits must have recently changed. apparently you are now only allowed 100 of any type. i had 247 in my sent folder. once i deleted enough to get under 100, the message went away... i just deleted all the sent items. wish i could get the couple dozen inbox ones back though... ugh... live and learn....

As far as I can remember, the PM limit for regular members has been 100 for quite a while. If you had a paid membership that recently expired, that would explain it. Were you previously a paying member?

When it comes time to clean out my Inbox, I generally back them up to my PC before deleting.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the private message page where you would select "Delete", several of the other choices are to save your PMs to your own computer in any/all of three formats. I typically save them in all three formats and then delete them at the site. If I ever need to refer back to them, they are on my hard drive.

If you had simply renewed you membership, you could have gotten the larger quota right back and been able to recover your private messages.

Sorry, but that's the way it is with perks of paid memberships. When the membership expires, those perks go away.
