This species is endemic to the Philippines, and these are offspring of legally acquired zoo stock.
Boiga can be notoriously difficult as neonates with a select few exceptions, latifasciata are one of the most prominent exceptions. With juveniles starting on rodents readily, and animals growing and breeding with minimal effort by the keeper.
The price tag may be more than frequently available wild caught species--but forgoing that hindrance--these are perhaps the best species to start with if the genus interests you.
