Prekilled crickets

Anyone's bearded dragon eat the prekilled crickets? I mean the freeze dried ones or the ones that are sealed in a can and cooked. I don't know how else to describe them except prekilled.

I wouldn't recommend using the prekilled/canned crickets for your bearded dragon. They have no moisture and I doubt they're gutloaded. Im sure your dragon would prefer to chase its food down. Hunting for bugs is probably the highlight of his/her day.

prekillled crickets

About the only way to describe them. You did fine. I have fed mine both canned crickets and grasshoppers. The hoppers are a lot bigger then the crickets. Mine will eat them either from my fingers or lay them on something. They do have a food tray that runs on batteries that vibrates and moves the dead insects around. I have seen it work. I personally do not need it. Mine will eat either moving or not. I hope this helps, I am assuming your will not eat them already dead, is that right. Jeff

If i put them on a stick (little like twistie tie (he doesnt eat the twistie tie so dont worry)) move them around it annoys him enough that he just starts eating them.
