Has anyone here done business with this company? They are in Auburn,MA. They have an ad on Kingsnake.com for some females that I am interested in. I tried doing a search on them but I couldn't find anything. Any information would be appreciated.

Bought a boa from him a couple of months ago. Was told it was 100% healthy and female. When the boa got here, it had a severe nose rub, mouth rot and appears to be a male. I specifically asked if "she" had any problems like Resp. infections, MOUTH ROT, bad sheds, regurges, etc. and was told she was 100%. I asked for her to be sent Fed-ex or Delta, she was shipped UPS. I contacted him as soon as she arrived concerning her mouth and her appearing to be a male, he said "No she was probed and is a she, and I've never seen anything wrong with her mouth??? ". Her first defecation was diarrhea, which I figured was just stress from shipping. After her second was still runny, I contacted Brian concerning this and his response :

"Ok, it wasn't a 2 month guarantee or what not, whatever she is doing is now on you, i have no proof that you aren't the one that got her sick, and as for her mouth there is nothing wrong, a couple un-noticed scraps is nothing it heels with a few sheds. she was 100% healthy when she was sent to you...Eats great, excreats great, and sheds great. She neever showed any symtoms as you have described to me in any way possible. So whatever is wrong with her is there's probably something wrong in your collection not mine. Sorry you got the snake sick and need someone to pin it on but I dont do month(s) guarentees."

I have been keeping boids, colubrids, and many other reptiles and amphibians for about 15 years, so this ain't my first rodeo. This snake was damaged and sick when he shipped it and is still not 100%, as "she" was advertised. I still don't know if it actually a female, as I don't have anybody to assist while I probe, and none of the local vets do sexing. I also will not expose any local herp folks (who have offered) to help probe until she comes out of quarantine, just in case she has something serious and I don't want them to carry it home to their collection. I count it as a lesson learned and will never do business with this person again.

You can obviously see her mouth is gapped open, but I didn't really think anything of it and figured she was tongue flicking or something and had her mouth partially open.

I'm sorry, but that is more than a couple of scrapes as he called it and seems to be something that has been occurring for a long time, and not what I would consider 100%, not to mention she also had mouth rot.

Thanks for the info. I don't think I'll be purchasing anything from him if that is the condition he sells animals in. I'm sorry your snake had such problems. I hope "she" is doing better for you now.

A couple of years ago Brian had a ball listed on Reptibid that he was trying to pass off as a pastel - for quite a while he battled with people about it being pastel - but eventually gave up and sold it as an oddball - I talked him into a reasonable price and the deal was done. The transaction was a bit shakey but the snake arrived and was in good health. He shipped the snake in box that was for a spotlight - apparently his side job was as a DJ and the spotlight box came with foam insert that the snake would fit in well - there was no heat pack - but as I said the snake arrived safely, was as described and a neat dinking project.

I apparently was the lucky one.

For several months there were continued issues on Reptibid - and I provided his contact info to a couple of disgruntled customers. He had a habit of giving the run around with refunds - "my cousin sold that to you" "I have to wait for my sister to put the money back in the account" kind of thing.

Long story short - I would not buy from him again and I would not recommend him to my friends.

BOI works again.
I was sent an email regarding a very large female BP he has on KS right now for a really good price. He also has her on Reptile Auctions. No picture on the KS ad but there is one on the RA ad. It shows an underwieght animal.
I checked here and what do you know. Not someone I would do business with or refer anyone else to do business with.
His name is Brian in the email but Jack on Reptile Auction.

I do have my info right. Where is your OLD reptile auction account that Tosha used? Why are you now using an account that has NO feedback? It's BS about not having enough pictures to use a KS account. You can upload ONE photo. There is a limit to the maximum amount you can upload, not a minimum amount. You didn't upload a photo because the people on KS would realize that snake is underweight for it's length.

You claim you never dealt with Tosha. Why would someone post here about you if they never dealt with you? I tend to believe Tosha.

What about the obviously sick boa? How did you rectify that? Why would you even think of sending an animal in that condition out?
