Housing Emerald Tree Boa Question

I have always been under the impression that the general rule of thumb is one snake, one cage. A friend of mine has been told otherwise and is thinking of keeping to emerald tree boas together. The question I have is, am I right? Also, if I am do you have any links to literature that states why? Thanks

You can keep animals a ton of different ways if you really want but the "ideal" conditions are 1 animal to 1 enclosure/bin. Problems with keeping them together are they can easily pass infections to each other, there could be some battling between the 2, 3 or however many animals you put in together and it makes feeding risky as you could be trying to feed one animal and there other goes after the prey item or worse, the other snake. Overall, just not worth running the risk. Emeralds don't require too much space, so there really isn't an excusable reason why you can't set them up individually.
