"boas" laying eggs

to start out i know that boas do not lay eggs, they have live birth.
the reason i am posting this is that i currently have a guy trying to get me to trade a rattlesnake that i have for his "proven" female boa.
im not a huge boa fan, but i always look into what someone has to offer.
he told me that she just laid a clutch of eggs 2 days ago and that they are in his incubator. and that he has hatched out eggs from this snake before and that she has doubled clutched.
very strange
tried to upload the pics he sent me but cant get them to work

yes, boas do not lay eggs and boas never 'double clutch'; a boa is gravid for 4 months of the year; they do not have multuple births in one year. He probably has a Ball Python or more likely Burmese Python.

Are you getting an error message when using the 'manage attachment' function when trying to upload the pic? A lot of times pics need to be resized smaller to get them to attach.

What type of boa is it? There are actually a few boas that do lay eggs (Calabars, and two of the sand boas)

*yes, Calabars used to be classified as pythons

OOPS - you posted while I was on the phone.
The guy is full of it. THAT boa doesn't lay eggs (except unfertilized eggs - aka slugs - which don't look like the eggs in the picture)

if you guys want i could post some of the emails between the guy and me. i had deleted most of the early emails, but still have the ones that involve the "boa eggs"

i just would rather it not turn into a bad guy post, at least not yet. until i had a little more information on this guy and who he is, or if in fact he really does think he is getting baby boas out of those eggs.

or he just might know what hes doing and seeing if i will take the bait

I'm guessing that if you're going to use his name (by posting e-mails) that this would have to be on the BOI. Personally, I'd love to see it, as this sounds like someone from Cameroon!! (Not literally from there, but a scammer just the same! ) You could always post it as an "Inquiry" and let others judge for themselves.

On a side not, what kind of rattler is he trying to get you to "give" him?

to tell you the truth i have never gotten his name, i have had several people want the snake and so far they have all asked me "can you hold it for a week or two until i get paid" normally when i get that email i just respond that i dont hold animals unless some sort of down payment is paid and then never hear from the person again.it has been a little while since i heard from him until last night when he started emailing me about this one of a kind boa.

it is a neotropical

if i can get the ok from a moderator i will post the emails here
