-sighs- Really, Rich?

Burmese Pythons, African Rock Pythons (Northern and Southern) and Yellow Anacondas just became part of Lacey Act.

Boa Constrictors and the remaining snakes of the original "Big 9" are still under consideration.

Yup, it's a sad day for the reptile nation

"Under the rule, Burmese pythons, yellow anacondas, and the northern and southern African pythons are declared an “injurious” species which makes it illegal to import them or sell them across state."

"Ashe said the Service will continue to consider listing as injurious the five other species of nonnative snakes that the agency also proposed in 2010 – the reticulated python, boa constrictor, DeSchauensee’s anaconda, green anaconda and Beni anaconda. Once that process is completed, the Service will publish final determinations on those species."

You're right. Better to do nothing and then be an asshole towards those who at least tried to do something about it.

I sent letters from 17 yahoo mail address's wasn't enough was it?

Frankly I'm glad there will now be control over a dangerous animal like
Af-Rocks,it not only protects "stupid" from making yet another social appearance but also spares defenseless animals the burden of being
disposed of once the new wears off.

Dont confuse privilege with entitlement, there is a reason you cant
own venomous reptiles and full automatic weapons without "PERMITS"
it weeds out the "STUPID".
Same applies here(apples/apples) its whats best for the animals, many
boa will have a better quality of life once the impulse buyers have to
go thru a permit process before owning.

I see good things coming from this ban,the reptile business returning
to a hobby status will be a grand day for many.
