James Bobb - Bad Guy!

I entered into a payment plan for a beautiful arabesque boa with James Bobb. I paid him exactly when I said I would and was happy when I had finally paid off this boa. Let me also say that when I checked on the BOI for this guy, I saw that he only had a few comments made about him, but they were all glowing remarks. Anyways, I paid off the boa just as I said that I would and he emailed me asking if a particular day was convenient to ship it out. I replied that it was a convenient time and was eagerly awaiting my new boa. That day came and went. I sent him an email asking if he had in fact shipped the snake and he said he had not. We then rescheduled for another day and it happened again. We went back and forth a few times and now finally he is no longer responding to my emails. I have asked him to send me the snake and no answer, then I started asking for a refund, which is no surprise that he is not responding to that either.

Is there any advice anyone can offer to help me recover my money? or at least make sure that other people are not being cheated as well? Any input would be appreciated.

Well, first you should post proof so we can know what you're dealing with. Emails, pictures, etc. It's not a rule but it really helps. Also, contact him and tell him about this thread so he can have a chance to respond.

Also, what was your method of payment? If you used a credit card through Paypal then you can most likely file a claim and get the money back.

If you used paypal simple screenshots of your transactions would be awesome. If he sent you nothing you should easily be able to recover your money via a product was not received claim.

Something is missing from this story.

We would like to see the E-mail correspondence and proof of payment and also a Timeline of the event would be helpful. This just doesn't seem to be something James would do from reading his other customer's posts.

there is nothing wrong with shipping from there. i just don't like missing a shipping deadline. thanks jim

I think it would be best if you just refunded my money. It is clear that you do not have time to send the boa out. You have sent out a number of dates in which you said that you would send it out and I have yet to receive the snake.

So, I contested both my initial deposit and the $250 balance that I owed on the boa. Paypal said that it was too late to recover the $200 deposit, but the good news is that paypal did recover the $250.
