question for boa breeders

I have got a few different pairings together. With some, I am seeing no interest, while with others I see intromission (at least) daily. I would like to get some input on the idea of removing the male periodically. I know some do it, some don't.
Removing the male in cases of no activity does make some sense to me, though the fact that I might just be missing the show hasn't escaped me (I have several pairs that I have never witnessed copulating, though they have produced regularly for me).
What about with the active breeders? Should they be pulled for recuperation and "recharge"? I know that an on/off cycle is frequently employed when rotating a male between different females, but I am not doing that this year

I use 2 males and one female and watch closely. If she is ready they will battle a bit normally, I don't let the battles last long so they both think they won

I've heard of people inserting the male for a couple week intervals, whether he's actively courting her or not. Some court, and just stop, for what ever reason. Remove for a week or two, reintroduce, and he'll start again. From what I've gathered it can also stimulate the female to cycle, even if not in the so called "breeding season".

Still being sorta on the newer side of actually letting them breed, what I plan is removing the male at feeding times, for about 5 day intervals this season, and reinserting for a couple weeks till the next feeding time. Other than that, just leaving them be.

Not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for, But I see no harm in removing the male for recharging, it's the female that shouldn't be disturbed.

Think of it as a meal break from the sheets. Most men do not have a problem getting back into action afterwards.

Well, I can think of a few around here who might.

Harald, this will be my third year breeding so I'm far from an expert. I do pretty much the same as Rick. I put them togeather for a week or two then separate them and give them something on the smaller side to eat. Then reintroduce them after I'm sure they have digested their meals. Take it easy and good luck.
