WESTERN BLUE TONGUE SKINK (Tiliqua occipitalis)

Offering two very rare Tiliqua occipitalis.
These babies were produced here in Florida this summer 2017.
They are only 5 months old and huge. Very tame and friendly, perfect in every way, no physical imperfections, healthy, and growing fast!! We are asking $4,600 (for the darker one) and $4,900 (with white patterns) shipped each. We suspect the darker one is a male, the lighter one a female.
Also interested in trades/partial trades for rare Egernias, T. rugosa or T. multifasciata.

They are very nice. For the price you should have them sexed so buyer knows for sure.

If you guys had any idea what you were talking about you’d know that they can’t be sexed at this age and you need to wait until they’re adults.

Skink of this size? Doubtful.

And if thats the case you should wait until they're adults. Who'd buy these haha

It does not matter what sex the animal is. It is a Western Blue Tongue Skink and that fact alone justifies the price.

Blue tongues are almost always sold unsexed. Animals are sexed when they reach breeding age. Western blue-tongues are extremely rare in the U.S. This is exactly the price I would expect for such rare and lovely animals. Anyone knowledgeable in blue tongues knows all of this. Even if the price was too high (it isn't) negative comments on someone's ad regarding prices is extremely rude. If you don't like the price, don't buy them. Or find some western's for less. (good luck on that).

I don't have a dog in this argument but back in the early 90's I worked at the Ft. Worth zoo herp dept and we had success popping adult and neonates blue tongue skinks after Allen Carden from San Antonio zoo showed us how it was done. We bred T. nigrolutea, T. scincoides and T. s. intermedia. Also it is my understanding others have sexed Tiliqua through sonograms, radio grafts and observations of there social interaction.
