Snake compatibility

I have a large Corn Snake, about 5.5 to six feet long and a Greyband Kingsnake, about 3 feet long. &nbsp;Can these snakes be kept togather? &nbsp;Courious minds are inquiring. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

If I am not mistaken, Kingsnakes are cannibals. They eat other snakes for dinner.

I wouldn't recommend putting them together.

I understand that, but in this case, I have two grown snakes and the prey item is twice as long as the preditor. &nbsp;This is not something I would normally do, just courious about the possibility.

It may very well be the case that the greyband would try anyway, and both snakes would die of suffocation. &nbsp;However, even if the greyband never did try to eat the corn, it would undoubtedly stress them BOTH to the point of causing health problems. &nbsp;A lion cub isn't going to eat a wilderbeast, but the smell of &quot;lion&quot; is enough to send the whole herd into a panic. &nbsp;The same would be true for your snakes, I would think.

Just keep them separately, and they'll both be better for it.

That is what I was looking for. &nbsp;I have plenty of cage space, but I am always looking for species interaction info. &nbsp;I know I tried to breed a CalKing to a Ruthvin female, and the male CalKing's appitite was not of the sexual nature. &nbsp;Had to intervine on that one.
