if his email was linked to his website (which is now down) then he cant retrieve his password that way.

That may be true but where there's a will, there's a way. I'm thinking this is more of a will to stay away.

as well, just saying that the way Jim first explained isn't possible.

I just did a who is search on Dean's web site. He still owns the domane name until November of 2011. So if is web site is down, it's because he has pulled it from public view. If he pulls it from public view, his email is still active. My web site has been pulled from public view. by me, and my email still works fine.

well, with the info Brian just posted, my explanation was wrong and he still can access his email.

His email is Yahoo.

Should be easy enough to send him a message there and for him to retrieve it.
