Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Let's talk about humid hides
My leos used to have 12x18cm plastic containers as their humid hide; I recently "upgraded" their hides to slightly larger ones. But now, I'm starting to think maybe they like it smaller instead? So, what's everyone's using for their humid hide and what size?
I have also tried side/top opennings, they didn't care much about that; but I personally like side-opennings better, as its easier to shade by putting a small towel on top.

Peak-a-boo! LOL How cute.
I use top entrances to keep the mess down. I just got some new larger containers to try out too. We'll see if they like them or not.

Some of my adults like tighter fitting hides than the others so I keep a smaller one and a larger one in with them then the dry hides I only have a medium of each.

Well, this is my hide box of choice. It is a ziplock type container. Made for storing sandwiches in the fridge or a lunchbox. They are 2 inches tall and a 6 1/2 inch wide square. I add about 3/4 an inch of sphagnum peat and thats it.
I prefer the opening on the top, it is less messy. I do believe the most of my animals prefer these to anything taller. Most grocery stores carry them and they are like two for a $1. Can't beat that.
I added the smaller hides that I use for my hatchlings as well. They are about 2 inches high by 2 inches wide by about 4 inches long. I use paper towels for the substrate in these. I also use a front opening for easy access for the little ones.

Jeremy I own the same exact humid hides! I get the 5 pk for 4 something. They are nice, and most of my leos love them. They are either in them (moist hide) behind them (dry hide) or in their igloo (another dry hide) lol

I use the white plastic containers that I usually get when I order Chinese food. They are about 6 inches long and about 4 inches wide. The top is clear but the container is white. These are more aesthetically pleasing for me. One of them has an opening on the side but all of the substrate spills out. Anothe rone has the opening on the top towards the front. Much better looking with no spillage of substrate.

Yes humid hides are pretty straight forward lol. Gladwear, ziploc, whatever filled with whatever medium is needed or preferred lol.
But i was curious do you guys do a seperate nest box or do you just use the humid hide. Is there really a difference needed in substrate or size. I'd like to know i am breeding my leos for the first time and the season is about to start. Any thoughts will be well appreciated.
