Here are emails I received from them in response to an ad I am running and my replies to their emails. My original ad first....
Female Brazilian Rainbow Boa for Sale or Trade
Nation Wide

Posted by Kim Lange langes@lightspeed.net on July 29, 2002 at 20:26:11:
I have an approx. 3 1/2 foot female Brazilian Rainbow Boa for sale or will trade for high end leopard gecko's. She is a great eater, but not very friendly. She was purchased from LLL Reptile. I am not comfortable handling her and don't want to get a male to breed her with, so I have decided to sell or trade her.I don't have a digital camera, so I don't have any pictures of her, but she is beautiful and has great color. Pics in a trade are a must, I have been taken advantage of to many times. Thank you. Serious inquiries only please.

The emails from them and my replies.....

Hi,
I am emailing you to find out what LLLreptile store you purchased her from because if you got it from the one in escondido then I have her mate the male brazillian would you please email me ASAP!

Hi Louis,
I purchased her at the IRBA show in Pasadena in June. I am not sure if she came from their Escondido store or not. LLL was selling her and another female at the show.

What kind of high end leopard geckos are you wanting to trade for her I have a baby luecistic lleopard gecko

I already have 1.3 "leucistic" (patternless) adults. One baby patternless is not even close to what she is worth (250.00 shipped).A leucistic is not considered a high end leopard gecko. It's just a patternless. Thanks anyway.

Well I am glad that you did not like our offer because we have now found a pastel redtailed boa for only $125.00 shipped and this snake is usually worth about $1000.00
so thank you very much for refusing our offer if you would have accepted then we would have been stuck with a snake we really did not want. The mate for our Brazillian is still at the LLLreptiles here in Escondido, she is very sweet and will cost about $75.00 less than what you were asking for yours. I hope you can find someone to buy your snake but I highly doubt it if you continue to state the fact that it is mean. There are NO mean snakes just owners who do not know how to tame them. Good luck.

LOL. If you are buying a pastel redtail for 125 that is usually worth 1000.00 it is no doubt, wild caught and might and tick infested. I paid 249.00 for my Brazilian &nbsp;in June from LLL so I doubt you would be paying 75.00 less unless it is smaller than the one I purchased. As for no mean snakes, that's a laugh. I have 14 snakes total and she is the only one that has ever struck at me and I have tried to calm her down, but with no success. I have over 20 years of experience with reptiles, snakes in particular. I don't care if I don't sell/trade her because I am stating that she has a bad temperament. I am an honest person. Would it be better if I said she was wonderful and never strikes or bites?<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>? Come on. You are someone I would never deal with based on your offer of 1 baby patternless gecko for a 249.00 Brazilian and your suggestion that I don't tell people that the Brazilian has a bad temperament. You were obviously hoping I was stupid and would trade so you could rip me off. Oh and I will be sure and look you up if I am looking for a 1000.00 snake for 125.00 LOL

These people sound a little shady to me. What do you think?? buyer beware. I don't think anyone should do business with these two.

This was just sent to me in response to the last reply I sent. I will use *** in place of some of the profanity, but you get the idea.

Thank you so very much for your last E-mail, it was very informative. But I have had 32 years in the snake breeding business and I have a total of 48 breeding snakes. I have never once been bitten by any of my snakes and they range from Reticulated Pythons, to Emerald Tree Boas and Green Tree Pythons. &nbsp;I breed Snow Boas, Albino Boas, Anerythristic Boas, Luecitic Boas, and Pastel Boas. As for Pythons I breed: Snow Balls, Pastel Jungel Balls, Super Pastel Jungles, Albino Balls, Carmel Albinos, and Albino Jungle Carpet Pythons. Among other breeds. But I have never talked to another snake owner who is as rude and stupid as you are . I do not own any lizards so I am very sorry not to know the prices of the lizard I requested in trade for your Brazillian. What we were wanting to do was to buy your snake from you because I felt very sorry that it had to have a uneducated, naive owner as you. I would now never want to ever conduct any type of buisness with you. I am sure that the many Snake Breeding companies that we do business with will be very amused, and interested in the last E-mail you sent me.
Thank you very much for you time and consideration.

Hahaha yeah right, who's going to believe 32 years with snakes and never been bitten. All they needed to do when you declined the trade was to go about their business. No reason for the personal attacks.Well,I can tell you I won't ever be doing business with these people.Their attitude alone shows what kind of people they really are.Sorry they were such sh!theads to you Kim.Just laugh it off and never look back.

Unfortunately, that is just what you get sometimes when you advertise an animal for sale. &nbsp;People who make ridiculous offers and when you refuse they start the insults and name calling. &nbsp;Sadly, people like that are all too common, no matter what business you are in. &nbsp; It also seems like they do rather enjoy bragging. &nbsp;I don't see why they emailed you all that unnecessary info about a hypo boa they ended up purchasing after you told them no thanks on the deal with your Brazilian Rainbow Boa...what could have possessed them to think that you would at all be interested in their other purchases???

Thanks for the heads up on them.

I've heard the statement about "there are no mean snakes" and that's so much bull. I had three albino retics from the same clutch two of which were angels. The other I nicknamed "Devil Snake" LOL. As for Those people's 32 years experience and being breeders of exotic snakes, well I'll give them the bebefit of the doubt. I do believe they've owned a ball python or maybe even two LOL. Clowns I might add LMFAO.

After sending a few emails telling them exactly what I thought of them and their attitude and a copy of the page on the BOI I recieved this email message. Oh and the comment in here about not typing in the things that were rude that I said is not true. I only emailed them some rude comments after they insulted me. Never once was I rude to them &nbsp;prior the their very childish email about having 35 years experience and 48 breeding pairs of snakes. LOL

Here is the email that I just received....

&nbsp;Sorry for not emailing you back our couter was not working I'm Deobra Alayne and I was not aware of what was being said I &nbsp;was going to drop it but what I had noticed in your thing on the classifieds is that you did not type in the things that were rude that you said. And I'm sorry that this happend but I dropped and stopped emailing after you said you didn't whnt anything my house mate probably wrote that I am exstremely sorry bout that but please do not ruin what I want in a career in snake breeding I have not yet started in my career but I do have a few sakes um I have six I don't know why my house mate lied to you but I'm very sorry and now I am being punished for something I didn't do!

Methinks they should have diverted some of that 32 years of experience with reptiles and spent a little time figuring out people so they could know that their partner was a fruitloop before they gave them the password to their email.

DoDo Birds, 2 for the price of one! &nbsp; So informal poll time: is the "my partner made me do it" the number 3 excuse for sorry @ss business practices? or has it moved up to number 2 behind, "my food dealer killed my herps"?
