I posted information to help someone out, not to get into a long discussion with you about who knows what.

Many years of actual experience breeding anything will show a broad example of whats produced and any person doing this has hands on experience and knows exactly what the outcome can be.

If your relying on the internet and asking around for your information be prepared for the wrong advice.

Hey, you are the one that brought up the topic of "experience." And you are still talking about it in your second paragraph.

I don't care if you post a book to help someone out, I just happened to disagree with you. Perhaps I should not have said those words, since you seem to have taken them personally. However, I think anyone asking questions should be exposed to a whole range of responses so that they can make a decision.

BTW...speaking of experience...I have always been able to tell my animals apart and haven't shipped any animals that are supposed to be something else yet. Pastels may have a wide range of eye colors, however..as far as the rule is..it's "generally accepted" that Pastels have greenish eyes.

Good question, Harald!

I couldn't really tell; it does seem to have a faded head, but I do go by eye colors in making a final decision, because of an experience in breeding that resulted in some VERY light normals that could have been mistaken for Pastels.

it would show what the snake's belly looks like
All the pastels I've looked at (which pretty much consists of mine, and the very few I have inspected at shows) have had clear white bellies.

Clear belly normals are common, they normally have brighter colors.

Some hold back these to breed later on as some have produced some very different offspring.
