The lowest weight you can input when you ship a package is 1 lb. Even if the box weighs less, that's the lowest you can select for a shipping label.

Hatchling carpets are typically around a pound in a 6x6x6 insulated box, and that's actual weight. No way there was an adult ackie like the one pictured in that box.

I have a friend that breeds red ackies, I will ask him about weight.

If the actual weight was under a pound, I would say there was no animal in the box.

An adult female ackie is a pound or less (more likely less). He said he's never weighed them, but his guesstimate is under a pound.

Melissa, would your red ackie friend use a 9x10x10 box? Seems small for a 20-24" animal (just going by what google says for size).

I'm not sure what to think about this thread yet. Not a lot of compelling evidence on either side yet.

That sounds about right. You don't want the animal to have room to thrash about.

the box I received was 9x9x95 I am sending pics to Robert walker box weighed 1.2lbs with empty bag and news paper
