I want to purchase a Western Black Ratsnake (Elaphe obsoleta, Pantherophis obsoletus) for display at an elementary school. My criteria for the snake are as follows:
1) Is an adult or sufficiently mature to know it’s appropriate for handling by children
2) Has the color typical of wild populations: Adults black or dark with blotches above, blotched white below; Juveniles gray above with brown blotches, growing darker as they become adult
3) Was captive-bred.
Please contact me ASAP if you have such a snake for sale.
Thank you,
Todd
