Best options to ship snakes

I have called DHL, FED EX and UPS and they all tell me, "WE DO NOT SHIP SNAKES".

One of the guys on the phone seemed like he hinted that they will ship REPTILES but not snakes and from his tone of voice it sounded like I should say it is some other type of reptile in the box and I could get away with it...

I'm delta dash certified but that is a crazy shipping cost.

What is my best option to ship snakes?

There's no reason at all why you have to tell them what's in the box. I use FedEx and UPS on a regular basis. So does everyone else. (hint, hint) As far as I'm concerned, I couldn't care less about people's ignorances and stupidities. It's the farthest thing from MY problem. I need a service, they provide it, I pay for it. End of story.

Fedex does ship reptiles -- but most employees don't seem to know it. You have to contact the live animal desk (I think that's what they are call it now), jump through a few hoops and sign a waiver but it can be done. Or you can just ship through Reptster.com and save yourself the hoops and about $20 per shipment.
