sorry to have to post this . But after several good business deals with Colorodo reptile company i found out the hard way that the co- owners of the shop had split up . Justin was now running the business and Travis had legally left This is where things went really wrong for me.
As repeat customer i shipped Justin 7600 in animals after speaking to him while i was packing he was " on the way to my bank to deposit 5K and the other 2600 he would deposit Friday that was over a month ago . since there was a time difference of several hours i needed to get the animals to fedex so since i had done similarly with Justin before i trusted that he would pay me,,,
the rest of the story plays out horrible below and i am still out 7600.00.... in addition Justin had a sale to benefit usark last week which he brought in 1400 he claims..... he also pocketed that money .
below is the news report..
attached are the police reports. and a picture from Justin to me of some of my dead snakes that Justin apparently killed by neglect before the store was inspected . he blamed my snakes deaths of unhealthy snakes... HA right
LAKEWOOD – Police officers in Lakewood requested a search warrant Saturday after finding more than 150 reptiles neglected at the Colorado Reptile Company. According to agent Rob Albrets with Lakewood Police, officers received several tips over the past few days that the store’s owner wasn’t taking care of the reptiles at the 7827 W. Jewell Ave. business. When animal control went to check on things, they found a dead snake, and numerous reptiles without water. “When animal control went out to do a welfare check on them, the door was open, but no one was inside,” Albrets told 9News. The owner of the store showed up when police were on-scene Saturday afternoon. Police spoke to him and decided not to file charges at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
