can you keep a 1.1 pair of adults together in a 15 gallon long. I need help on designing my cage. If you have what you think is a good cage setup can you send some picks to akafutrkobe@yahoo.com. Would greatly appreciate it.

The general guideline most of us use is 10 gallons per leo. I am not 100% sure of the floor space of a 15 gallon but i would think things would be a bit cramped for 2 leos. What are the dimensions?

I've got a few trios in 15 gallon longs right now and they're doing great. I think that it's fine as long as you provide lots of hides. I like using cork bark slabs for dry hides. They kind of give the tank levels. One gecko can be hiding underneath and another can be roaming around on top. I like to house my leos in trios rather than pairs so that the male doesn't focus all his attentions on one female during the breeding season.

I got mine at the herp show in Pomona; I think they were from Reptile Depot. LLL also sells them. Occaisionally they pop up in pet stores, but are usually over priced. Petsmarts carry 20 gallon tanks for abound $24, but you have to buy the lid separately.

I think you might be ok with 2 in a 15....I would just have at least 4 hides (2 dry, 2 humid) so they can be in the environment they want but can be away from each other. I would also make sure to have things for them to climb on...basically try to maximize the surface space they have available. I wouldn't put 2 giants or 2 extremely active leos in a 15 though.

If I put in like 3 dry hides and 2 cool hides could I put a group of 1.2 adult leos together. Could you send me some pics of your tanks to akafutrkobe@yahoo.com
