Well how long is about of string?
Technically yes, there are a rare cases of humans getting diseases from reptiles, but these are rare, even the salmonella scare in turtles is a very, very unusual occurrence. In my career I worked as a microbiologist in a path lab. I never saw any cases of salmonella from turtles, although I did see a single case of salmonella that was caught from their ill tropical fish.
That being said there are risks of infection from pretty much any animal you come across. Dogs & cats for example can give you round worms, tapeworms, fleas, ringworm... I could go on. Even picking up something up, like a stick, out in the woods can out you at risk of infections such as lungworms from snails or psittacosis from birds.
If you are concerned wash you hands before and handling any pet, make sure you carry out good hygiene and animal husbandry and you will have an absolutely minimum risk.
