Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Questions on "Twinkie"
Well I wanted to ask two questions on behalf of my green Iguana "Twinkie"
Okay, here we go...
1.) Every time I get him out, hold him...then I put him back in his cage and wherever I set him down in his cage....he licks it. O.o
What is he doing?
2.) Is Fluorescent lighting alright for Iguana's? I have a purple black light (I put where the strip light supposed to go on his cage) So I put it on his cage, and he like tried to jump on the screen where the light was. I thought I should ask about this first, so I turned it off. He might of didnt like the lighting or something. or it hurt his eyes. *shrugs*

As far as question 1.) I think he likes the taste of his cage
2.) Iguana's need UV light. With that said, if you have a UV light bulb and he can see the sun, he will sit in the sunlight. They thrive on sunlight, in helps their metabolism, heals their bodies, and makes them feel good. I try to get my iguanas sunlight everyday, light bulbs will never be able to replace the sun. Black lights are fun, but useless for iguanas. Good luck with him.

A lot of lizards lick things, its not because they like the taste, it's because they are testing it, like a puppy or baby putting things in their mouths, same principle. Also, like snakes they do have some scent receptors in their tongues, so they are also smelling it.
Black lights are no good for reptiles, get rid of it!
