    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A week ago my '07 O. Hannah passed something odd. She seemed fine and was hunting again, so I removed it and examined it. It appeared that one of the feeder snakes (frozen) that I acquired from the university must have been gravid and carrying eggs. While the embryos were undeveloped and unrecognizable, they were present.

They were all in a long chain, and almost looked like urates, which would have been even stranger.

Just sort of unusual. Anyone else ever seen anything like this from any of their snake-eaters?

Cool pics....

It does seem odd that the egg shells came through so intact.

Great seeing you and Pam this weekend! :beer: :dancer01:

As I told you, there was no fecal matter visible with them. it get's weirder. She always eats head first (normal) and I'm always watching. The last two feedings were halves of the same snake. The last feeding was the rear half of that snake.

Ergo, from the above staments, these had to be from the most recent feeding, and had to pass all of the other material in her system, since the fecal matter came later.

:confused: :shrug01:

Hmmmm...is it possible the eggs were regurgitated? It doesn't sound like the likely explanation, but it would explain the lack of fecal matter, and the fact that it happened to bypass fecal matter from the previous meal...just a thought. Of course, if it was regurged, there would probably be some tell-tale signs of that as well(odor, other parts of the snake, etc.).
