I was on the phone talking with one of our fellow Fauna members today and we fell back into an old conversation we have had many times over the last year or so. We both had a good laugh at the gist of the conversation though. A mildly bewildered laugh.
The gist being how so many people here who are good honest folks spend so much of their time disliking the other good honest folks here. And basically just because they dont like the other persons opinions and points of views on certain subjects. Not because they are bad people, dishonest or harm anyone. But simply because they cant accept the fact that others do not agree with them on particular subjects.
What does that say about us? Pretty much every single person here has been guilty of it at one time or another. Some go to bed and it is all forgotten in the morning and they move on. While others hold what appears to be life long grudges over it. Again, not over any real harm done or lies or injustices committed, that would be understandable, but simply because we do not agree with one another all the time or do not agree with how one another does things.
When did we become so full of ourselves? When did we stop accepting and appreciating the differences in each other instead of expecting everyone to think and act like we do?
