Had bad Trade experience with Chris of Heartland Herps

Just wanted to let people know that Chris Brandenburg of Heartland Herps and Exotics or Sunflower State Serpents of Topeka, Kansas didn't send me out an albino baby female boa after receiving boas valued at over $800 dollars including shipping expenses from me.

hey megan i am on your side of this, if you did a bad business interaction with someone, people need to be told. i am very sorry you got torn a new one, just for voicing your opinions. i would like to know if you have had any compensation from this Chris fellow yet.

It is pretty sad when you come on here to warn people and you are made the bad guy! They have something to say about every post..There isn't a post that they have not tainted with thier bull.

I discovered that he has a classified listing a pair of Hogg Island Boas or sale on there. (As of today, 2nd Sept 2008)

this is just further proof that you should always have a contract. verbal means nothing in court. now he can just go on with his life and never give you what is rightfully yours.

Get use to the abuse Meghan. That’s the way the boi works now. There was a time when the bs that goes on here now was not allowed. All you need now is an opinion and no knowledge. Idiots are allowed to run rampant and no one seems to care anymore. There was a time when you could go on the boi and get useful information being it good or bad. Now you have to wade through pages of worthless crap written by someone who knows nothing but wants to add one or two more numbers to there count. I have had a couple of dealings with him and they did not go good but I did get my animals. Also what happened with the ip address check ? the writing is pretty much exactly the same.

Also for future reference how do you go about doing a legally binding contract when doing a trade?

Like if I offered to trade a snake with you. Would we both write up something we could agree on and then send it out for each party to sign? And not send any animals until both parties had each others signature or something? Does that make sense? Any lawyers in the house? LOL

Let me start with showing rusty/bamboo_boa which I assume to be brian to be a liar. It is rather amazing to me that you just bought the emmy from chris when Courtney also bought here? But the strange thing is he has here in his possession. She’s not in the greatest of health but is salvageable. She might even wind up back in my collection someday. I have regretted trading her off to chris every since I did it. She was an amazing emmy and with her current location will be again.
I did inspect the animals I was receiving and all were thin from “breeding”. This was not true. He knew they all died but I did not complain because I knew what I was getting.
I would have come way out ahead on the deals if the animals I received lived.
Freezers full of wild caughts ?? I would like to see this picture but I’m sure you can’t produce 1. I don’t think the 2 of you ever got more than 40 or 50 animals total from me. All wholesale wc animals were always sold as is to the 2 of you and you 2 knew it and continued to buy them and resale them. There never was an agreement for replacing them and I will make it very clear here that they will never be replaced.
I will add that if this is not bryan then you have never bought wholesale wc animals from me.
I no longer deal in wild caught due to the extreme losses. It takes to much time and effort to clean them up and you still never know for sure if they will make it.
I quit the kc show due to losing money every time I went. I quit the broken arrow show due to not agreeing with the way it was run. It is the cruses show and they can do whatever they want. I have only been back twice in the last 2 years but guess it is doing all right. I hear good and bad but it is the same way from all shows. It is the only 1 in town right now so I hope it works out.
I believe the only complaint that can be found on me is my refusal to sell cobras and caiman to a person I did not believe to be capable of handling them. Now before you get your panties in wad over legalities of selling them at the show our talks were in selling them from my house where it is 100% legal to do so.
Now you also want to say Jason was trying to scam you out of boas ?? I don’t believe this 1 bit. I have and a few others have bought babies from you over the last few years and let me assure you they are not “top notch boas”. The last batch I bought were ½ breeds but were alive and did live. Strictly bought them for resale.
Rusty/bryan why does Meghan need to jump through more hoops to get what she is owed? She has waited over a year and we all know chris will not be producing albinos this year or next or next.
