    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This picture is one reason not to go walking in the deserts of Southern Arizona at night. I stopped the car in the middle of a dark washboard road to look for a bathroom. Well, needless to say I didn't find one so I was standing there doing my thing and when I got done I thought I'd look around to see what was around me. Maybe I should have done that first, oh well. In any event, I pull up the fly, turn on the flashlight and shine it about five feet in front of me. I one step forward and hear something I never like to hear that close. When I look down this guy was coiled up looking at me like one more step is going to cause us both a world of hurt. In any event, luck got me out of there with nothing more then this picture.

I took a bite from a near 4 footer it was like a black mamba bite!
OUCH no necrosis very neurotoxic.
As you can see i survived ok.

Hey Adam, that close encounter would certinly get my blood running, in the right direction I would hope. Congrats on your narrow escape.
