    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Not able to edit my posts: contributing member?

As a contributing member, I thought one of the perks was that I could edit my posts....

I don't seem to be able to have that luxury anymore...?

I'm not sure if there's a new policy in order or something, but I know I used to be able to edit my posts for a while and now I can't. Did that function get disabled for some reason?
 
It is because you were trying to edit a BOI post. No one, regardless of membership status, has ever been able to edit posts within the BOI forums. The discussion forums are editable.

The BOI, however, is a much different beast and editing is not allowed due to reasons of accountability.

YOU have to take responsibility and ownership of the words you post here. So take great care in how you craft your statements. Once you submit your message, it will be here PERMANENTLY, no matter what happens afterwards.
